Regarding the article "City Plans Partial Ban for Bikes on 3 Avenues"
[July 23]: I work in New York City and have almost been hit a dozen times
by bike messengers and I am still opposed to the ban. These people rely
on bicycles for a living. Time is a crucial factor and to be diverted away
from these avenues is unfair and unconstitutional. The article stated that
this proposal has never been tried in any other city in the United States.
This is true only becausethe proposal is so ridiculous. What's next, wheelchairs?
